A quick update

Hello all!

A very brief post.  I'm about to start a RL building project with at the end of it a warm, light work room and a lot of other boring stuff like windows, a roof and insulated floors/walls....

This is a photo of the last lot of pots I've made. I will definitely continue making pottery once I have my work room. September hopefully...

Has anyone seen the miniature potter's wheel that Jon Almeda has developed?

That should work even better than the full size wheel I have been working on, even if I have to get it to work on 240v...

  2. Hoi Idske,
    groetjes,
    Gee

  3. Hi Idske! Your RL construction sounds time consuming but no doubt worth it in the end. Having a new work room to your specifications sounds like a dream come true, and I am very happy for you.
And your pottery is lovely! :D

  4. A friend of mine in Sweden has bought the wheel from Jon and she is very happy with it, she says she just uses a transformer with it.

  5. Hi Idske, How exciting! A lot of work ahead but if in the end you'll end up with a great work room it will be worth it. Your pots look wonderful! I love the parrot sculpture. Did you make that too?

    1. Hi Josje, it was a bit of an experiment. It's way too big for 1/12 scale. Who knows I might make one to the right scale some day. It's after a Meissen pair I found on Ggle images. Not that I'm pretending it is anything like that quality, of course :). It was also my first attempt at over glaze painting. It took 4 firings!

  6. Hi Idske, Very exciting to do RL. Renovations to have a heated workroom space that you will enjoy for many years to come.
Your pottery work is great. I wonder if you are wishing you had the miniature pottery wheel?

  7. Hi Idske!
    Groetjes, Ilona

  8. I had a workshop installed last year and it was the best money I have ever invested. Good luck with your own project.
