Happy New Year!

Wishing everyone a great 2015!

Just reminding everyone and myself what summer looks like around here!

I've not been here a lot lately, but that is because I'm running a 2 session class for our club and I've been busy putting kits together. I should get the table legs on Monday at school. It's a 1/12th scale side table with a drawer, veneered all the way round and inlayed with boxwood stringing.

Can you believe that I've spent all this time putting the kits together, sawing all the parts, sorting veneers, stringing, drawer knobs etc and I've only just realised that I hadn't ordered the table legs! Thankfully Bromley Craft Products had enough of them in stock at www.craft-products.com. He did a class for our club a few years ago.

I'll post some photos from our club afternoon,  assuming I have the time to take them....

      groetjes, Idske

  3. Happy New Year !!! Idske , I know the feeling putting kits together . it takes time !! most of the time I'm up to the last minute finishing things off ( making sure all the kits are complete, Instructions and parts list are done. A few extra kits just in case i need parts because someone had a oops )

Good luck on your class . looking forward on seeing your kit and completed project .

    1. Hi Mario,

Thanks for the reminder, I never even thought of doing instructions. I have an order in which to tackle it, to take drying times into account... Hmm, I have some writing to do....

    2. Yes Idske,

You are very welcome !! I've learned the hard way a long time ago. The parts list helped me to make sure that I had a full kit ( and as much as I try there are still mistakes ... LoL ).

I once had a kit that had 137 pieces to it ( I think it was a pie safe) I didn't realize it until a student pointed it out.

I had so many to make I just didn't even count how many parts there were and was surprised to find out the number after the fact ...

So... again good luck on your class :)
